Watch: Witness films Lake Champlain monster?
A woman walking her dog along the shore of Lake Champlain captured footage of a curious anomaly that may have been the site's legendary 'monster.' The intriguing sighting, which was sent to longtime Champ researcher Katy Elizabeth, occurred on the evening of July 14th at a beach in Port Henry, New York. Witness Vicky Tucker was taking her dog for a walk when she looked out at Lake Champlain and "noticed a strange wake turn into black humps rising to the surface of the water." Realizing she was watching something rather unusual, she smartly grabbed her cell phone and began filming the weird scene as it unfolded.
In the footage, what appear to be a series of dark forms can be seen emerging from the water and moving in a manner suggestive of something swimming. While the footage is somewhat unsteady, due to her dog being less captivated by the once-in-a-lifetime moment and thus tugging at her to continue the walk, Tucker also managed to snap a handful of photos of the suspected 'monster.' Featured at the end of the video above, the images provide a fairly clear, albeit mystifying look at the peculiar presence that appeared out on the water that evening.
