A spooky piece of security footage from a Russian school shows an eerie white mist on a stairwell leaving some staff to wonder if the weird anomaly was the ghost of a former student. The strange scene, which appeared online earlier this week, was reportedly captured in the city of Irkutsk. According to the individual who shared the footage, they received the eerie video from their mother, a cook at the school, where it would seem that the incident has become the talk of the building. In the footage, seen above, a small white form appears to linger on and then descend the last few steps of a staircase before vanishing into thin air.

The witness behind the video indicated that security guards at the building suspect that the mysterious shape is the "ghost of a child who studied at this school." As one might imagine, the chilling scene has understandably left them rather unsettled as can be somewhat gleaned from their conversation as they watch the footage. While some will agree with the guards' assessment that the strange shape is a spirit, more skeptical viewers will undoubtedly argue that the 'apparition' is merely some kind of camera glitch.
