Watch: Multiple witnesses film 'mothership' UFO over Guatemalan city

Multiple witnesses in Guatemala captured footage of a curious UFO that some have likened to an alien mothership. According to a local media report, the intriguing mass sighting occurred on Wednesday evening in and around the city of Villa Nueva. An impressive collection of videos filmed by several bewildered observers (seen above) shows that, from some perspectives, the peculiar object appeared to sport six horizontal lights. The eerie anomaly is said to have hovered in the night sky for several minutes before vanishing from sight, leaving many to wonder what appeared over Villa Nueva on Wednesday evening.

Remarkably, when asked about the UFO at the center of the weird incident, the director of the Guatemalan Association of Astronomy indicated that he was as mystified as the witnesses who spotted the oddity. Calling the object an "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon," Edgar Castro Bathen mused "they are now everywhere." Among viewers online, various theories have been offered for what the UFO could have been with some suggesting otherworldly visitors and others positing a more prosaic explanation such as a drone. With that in mind, what do you think of the puzzling object seen by so many people? Weigh in with your thoughts on the case at the C2C Facebook page.
