Narvik, north-west Norway, late August 1977.

It was the late summer and it was dusk on an evening around 9 pm when Anita Abelsen and her then husband were driving on a winding deserted road at the edge of a forest outside of the coastal town of Narvik in northen Norway. Suddenly they spotted a small metallic oblong-shaped craft of about 5 meter (16.5 feet) in length and with a transparent dome on top, gliding over the forest and then in tree top level of the road just ahead of them. On the womans sketch the glass dome was about as wide as the craft, but it was a bit unclear from the woman’s description if she meant that the whole craft was transparent or just the dome.

The driver of the car slowed the vehicle down and stopped as they could see two man-like figures or “pilots” sitting inside the object in front of what appeared to be a command console. The two figures were described as human-like wearing light silvery jumpsuits with dark collars and they both had very large heads and large eyes (some sources also suggest they had blond hair as well).

For a brief moment, as the object hovered still over the road, the UFO occupants made eye contact with the witnesses. Right after that the craft swept over the forest and then rose swiftly into the sky and disappeared at great speed. The witnesses could not hear any noise at all during the encounter even though they turned off the engine of their car.

The couple saw a strange flying machine hover above the road in front of them. Inside a large glass dome on the top half of the craft, they could see two humanoids in silvery overalls.
