The main witness, JBP, and four friends were swimming in a river near the waterfalls, when they were suddenly caught by a flash flood and dragged downstream. The strong current carried many logs and branches, and it was difficult for the men to stay afloat. After a lot of struggle, the main witness managed to reach the riverbank, and grab onto a rock until he could get out of the water. He thinks he fought the river current for more than half an hour. He was completely exhausted after the battle for survival. With difficulty, he got up and looked around. The river, which had been calm before, still had a strong current, and he couldn’t see his friends. As he caught his breath to call out to them, he froze in shock. He could now see several creatures a few meters from him, who came out of the forest and then climbed up on some of the rocks by the riverbank. The witness immediately crouched down to hide. The creatures weren’t human, but they walked like humans. They had greenish skin, like alligators or lizards. Their heads were flat, with short, thick necks that seemed to be an extension of their body, and they had tails.

They weren’t wearing any clothing, and the front of their was bodies was lighter than the back. There were four of them. The witness is not sure, but believes that their eyesight wasn’t very good during the daytime, because it was bright out, and somehow they didn’t see him, even though he was only a few meters away. The creatures were tall – maybe around 2 meters each. They then stepped into the river’s current and disappeared. At that same time moment the witness got up and ran into the forest, completely desperate and lost in an unfamiliar area of the park. He soon lost track of time, and soon night fell. He found a large tree and managed to climb up three or four meters to spend the night off the jungle ground. Sleeping was out of the question. The night felt as if it lasted a year. As dawn broke, he climbed down and kept walking. He was barefoot and wearing only his swimming trunks. He was covered with scratches and mud. By midday he had found a trail and a few hours later, he came across a camping site with some people there. He didn’t tell them anything of what he had seen.

They helped him get back to the nearest town, where he contacted the police about his friends, who were still missing at this point. Fortunately, all four had managed to get out of the river too, but on the opposite bank from where the witness had gone to, and they were safe.
