On the 24th of May, 1996, a bizarre creature ran out in front of a car in Magalia, California. Sheila Charles, who had her son in the car, swerved to avoid the strange animal and headed for a canyon. Thankfully, no one was harmed in the car and the creature was later confirmed by the person who was driving behind her.

Sheila claimed it was 4 to 5 feet long and was covered in shaggy black fur. But, it had a serpentine head and red reptilian eyes. The legs in the front were shorter than those in the back and it had no tail. It is known simply as the Snake-Headed Dog.
