Group stumbles upon Sasquatch while searching for lost camper in Arizona?

Three people assisting in the search for a woman lost in the Arizona wilderness stumbled upon what they suspect was a Sasquatch roaming around the area. The remarkable sighting was reported to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization by witness Amber Webster. She explained that the encounter occurred on June 15th as she, her husband, and his cousin were looking for lost camper Janelle Banda, who had disappeared while visiting an area near Sedona dubbed the Edge of the World. While using a spotlight to illuminate a wooded area at night, the trio were stunned when they spotted something significantly stranger.

"We saw it about 75 yards from us," Webster said of the bipedal creature that she estimated to be around seven feet tall and four hundred pounds with a "really wide body and shoulders." Able to get a fairly close look at the oddity, she observed that it was covered in "white and brown hair" except for its face, which she described as "flat" and "leathery." According to Webster, the creature "just stared at us" with eyes that "reflected a golden color." The standoff lasted for a few minutes before the trio's shock wore off and they became unsettled by what they were seeing, prompting them to exit the scene quickly.

Interestingly, Webster recalled that the trio had heard odd wood knocks in the same general area hours before the sighting. In response to the weird noises, she joked to the group that there must be a Bigfoot in the area. Looking back on their experience, Webster revealed that her husband "was always skeptical" about Sasquatch until that fateful evening seemingly changed his opinion on the legendary cryptid. "He is a hunter and knows the wildlife," she said, indicating that Bigfoot was "his only explanation" for the hair-covered, bipedal creature that they came across in the wilderness during the search.

In one additional noteworthy aspect of the case, when Banda was found the following day, Webster had the chance to speak to the previously missing woman who recounted fleeing her camp after seeing "glowing lights" that were moving toward her. This account was seemingly confirmed by her sister in a local news report wherein she explained that Janelle was "spooked by something," which ultimately led to her falling into a narrow canyon where she was found two days later. While it is, of course, uncertain if there is a connection between the suspected Sasquatch sighting and the eerie lights, those who believe that Bigfoot may be paranormal in nature will undoubtedly argue that is the case.
