Flathead Lake Monster of Montana
There have been around 100 reported sightings of the fabled Flathead Lake Monster in Montana. The monster is typically described as eel-like in shape and measures anywhere from 20 to 40 feet long. The color is described as brown and others say it is blue-black with grey eyes. Its head is shaped like a ball and when sighted, it has humps that rise above the water, often looking like common Loch Ness Monster sightings. It was first sighted in the 1800s and is still sighted to this day. Many respectable people see this creature, from lawyers to doctors.
Julia and Jim Manley saw the monster when their boat was in the middle of the lake in 2005.Later, Jim reported, “So many people afterwards came up to us and said, ‘You know, we saw something just like that but we never told anybody because we didn’t want everybody laughing at us.”
