"It was the evening of April 19, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. I was talking on my cell phone at the end of my sidewalk by the street when I turned around to face my house. That's when I saw a vast, black, human-like bird gliding silently from the east. It seemed to be about three streets over but five blocks down.

I was stunned and stared at it, trying to make sense of what I was witnessing. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I quickly ran into the house and yelled for my husband and my grown son to come outside right away. It felt like forever before they finally came out, but when they did, they saw it too. By then, the creature had moved a few streets over and disappeared behind some large trees.
