29 year old Paul Mayo was getting ready for breakfast one morning, when he looked up from where he was sitting on the bed to see, a “man” poke his head around the door. The man who was five foot six in height and ordinary in appearance, entered the room silently and raised his palm in a waving gesture. It was at this point that Mayo realized he could not move. He was paralyzed where he sat at the edge of his bed. The stranger now began to “dissolve” before his eyes, leaving on an intricate outline of his nerves and blood vessels, which shone brilliantly, “like a million fibers of light.”

Mayo felt himself laying back on his bed and was soon surrounded by what looked like four men on either side of him, dressed in “tight fitting silver clothes.” The last thing he remembered was being “ejected from his bed and literally floated through his bedroom wall.” When he came to about four hours later, he found his wife in the kitchen. She was apparently not surprised that it had taken Mayo over four hours to get ready for breakfast. She had eaten her food and left his meal on the table. While they could not explain his lapse of normal consciousness, Mayo immediately discovered that he felt better than he had in years. His doctor later examined him and said that his recovery was “miraculous.” Mike had suffered from a variety of pulmonary and breathing problems stemming from childhood exposure to mold and organophosphates. His doctor had told him he would not live past his 30s.

Another strange aftereffect of the experience was that Mayo found he could not eat any meat. The very act of bringing the meat to his mouth would make him feel instantly nauseous, although he was able to do so after many years, but only organically produced products and only in small amounts. He remains in excellent health even today. Mayo additionally described the beings as looking like towering Native American men with dark, weathered skin and “barrel chests” with waist length silver hair. According to Mayo he experienced a second visit, in which he saw a group of these beings picked him up and carried him through a portal in the wall to a bright light. When he emerged on the other side, he said he was in a vast field somewhere in what looked like the English countryside. There he saw others being carried in the same way towards scores of silvery flying saucers. His wife reportedly saw shadowy figures and even the ubiquitous grey aliens skulking furtively about their home.
