Researcher Steve Mera has claimed he was offered a large amount of money by the US Government as a bribe to stop him releasing UFO information.

He said "I caught the eye of the US government and they wanted to know who I was and where I obtained the information. We got it through the research and the work that we're doing and we're putting it out to the public. There was a little bit of an upset there because they have the same information but they are restricted in putting it out to the public.

What followed that was large offerings of money to tow the line. And I mean a lot of money."

He added "I was on the MoD watch list for two years - followed by a car for weeks on end. They showed me in writing I do not have to be guilty to be convicted"

He said "Never underestimate the adversary because when you do, then sometimes they send the big boy out. There is clearly a hierarchy. I don't think it's a situation we can win. I really don't. I think they've got the upper hand all the way."
