Blommenslyst, the island of Fyn in Denmark, September 1978 – 1980.

In 2009, a man reported an incident that happened when he was a child, around 8 - 10 years old. He lived at the time on Tommerupsvej (Tommerup’s Road) in Blommenslyst, where he grew up. This small community was located in the countryside a little to the west of the city of Odense. It was a late-summer evening and it was getting dark. The witness had been playing in the surrounding area and was walking on the gravel road towards his neighbor who lived 100 meters (328 feet) down the road. He was looking for his older sister because it was time for them both to go home. However, as he approached the neighbor’s house, he saw her coming running towards him up the road. She was panting and seemed scared and terrified. The witness did not remember what she said or if he said anything to her, but they ran back to their garage which was under their house.

On the left side of the garage there were stairs leading up to the main house. As the witness walked up the stairs, he turned around to see what was really wrong and why they were running up to the house. Down in front of the garage of their neighbor's house, about three meters (10 feet) out into the cornfield (which had been harvested at this time), the witness saw a metallic gray object that looked very much like what could be described as a classic flying saucer. Around the craft were some grayish humanoid beings. He did not remember how many, but he thought there were 2 - 4 of them. He judged that the beings were not very large or tall.

The witness ran around the corner of the house to hide, but out of curiosity he looked back again. Then he thought it seemed as if one of the beings became aware of him and he became frightened and ran inside to his parents. He told them that he had seen something strange down in the field next to the neighbor's garage. They looked out the window, but could not see anything because there was vegetation in the way and it was getting dark.

The next day, as they walked down the gravel road toward the main road where the school bus stopped, the witness asked the neighbor’s son if they had also seen anything unusual the night before. The boy said that he and his family had been watching the strange event from their living room window, which was about 15 meters (50 feet) from where the object had landed. Their parents said that there were evil devils in the field outside and that the children were not allowed to look at it any more. It should be added that the neighbor’s family were Jehovah’s Witnesses.

When the witness came home from school, he noticed a large round spot on the field that had been burned where the object had been. It was approximately 3 – 4 meters (10 – 13 feet) in diameter. He remembered that the burn mark remained there long after the incident. In recent years, the witness has talked about the incident with his sister, and she also remembered it, which in a way confirms the story.
