With the new fictional "Men in Black" movie coming out this summer, it is worthwhile to first learn about the very real, nonfictional Men in Black.

If you think aliens, ghosts, and monsters are scary, then consider the Men in Black who investigate them on the regular. We're not talking friendly Will Smith here, but pale, lifeless, black suit-wearing men who show up to paranormal events and have a scary way of making them disappear...

5. Men in Black Question Witness' Family After UFO Abducts Her Boyfriend

As with UFO and alien sightings, Men in Black sightings are also reported to MUFON. Of all the MUFON reports I've looked at over the years, MUFON case 84106 is definitely one of the more interesting, and creepier ones. Two weeks after a woman sees an ominous, black, cigar-shaped object abduct her boyfriend in the spring of 1982, the infamous Men in Black visit her family home and question her mother and sister. Let me start by saying I have only told a few people over the years this story, and was ridiculed so much I am reluctantly telling it now. But the world needs to know.In mid to late May in 1982, my boyfriend (at the time), and I were parking, (making out) in the woods of a restricted area by the power plant in Graham Texas. He needed to go to the restroom so we exited the vehicle. As I stood by his Grandmas old car he went down a small embankment towards the woods. As he went over the barbed wire fence to the trees I looked up and saw an orange light, and white light on an object that appeared to be a helicopter even though there was no noise, it was about a mile or two away coming towards me head on. Being in a restricted area I called out to him several times but my voice would not carry even though I was yelling. By the time I looked back up from yelling (maybe 10 seconds after I saw it) it was right above the trees maybe 50 ft. from me at an angle. IT WAS NOT A HELICOPTER. I was struck with mortal fear as I saw a black cigar shaped object, no propellers, or wings or any thing man made, just a few odd shaped small windows in front. It had a really low hum, with a round circle on the bottom with a blue light inside. A red thing was swirling around in the blue circle. As I heard a hydraulic sounding door open, a beam of white light came out bright as the sun, and the next thing I knew the trees where my boyfriend had gone was lit up and tree limbs, leaves, and then the image of a human was being drawn up into the craft. I freaked out and ran one step to the back door of the old car and then the beam of light hit the car where I had just jumped into the back seat. Even though I shut my eyes as tight as I could I could still see the light through my eyelids and I felt it drawing me out through the car, so I slid in to the floor board and grabbed the springs under the seat to stay anchored all while praying to God they would not take me.After what seemed like eternity,the light shut off and I was too scared to raise up but then I remembered the doors were not locked. So I jumped up to try to see out the windows and lock the doors but the windows were so wet I couldn't see out of them. I cracked a window to yell for my boyfriend. He never answered, scared I began to cry, I couldn't get out and walk to town (about 5 miles), and I was afraid they were waiting for me to exit the car. I would've have flagged a car but none was around. No cell phones back then so I just sat and cried. After exactly 2 hours I saw a bright flash behind the car and seconds later my boyfriend ran up to the car,v omiting, he was ice cold, pale,and seemed to be in some kind of confused, and sickly state. He could not answer any of my questions, he could not talk, or hug, or comfort me in any way. The next day when we spoke he couldn't remember anything past going to the restroom in the woods. However he thought he dreamed of being sexually probed by unknown entities. I started having migraines, rashes, and hair loss afterwards. The Dr's said it was probably just hormones, or something because I didn't tell them what I saw. About 2 weeks after this 2 men in suits came to my house, and questioned my mom, and sister about me, and my whereabouts, and my mom, and sister were very scared of these men, and acted as though I did something very bad..They didn't leave a card, or ever come back. I was 14 then. Emotionally I had a very hard time for many years. I am now 49 and suffer from various auto immune issues that I believe are related. I don't care if anyone calls me crazy now, I know what I saw.

4. 200 Schoolchildren See Flying Saucer... Then the Men in Black Show Up

The Westall UFO is one of the more famous and well-documented sightings of all-time, as it involved 200+ eyewitnesses, mainly schoolchildren attending two nearby schools in Melbourne, Australia in 1966. For about 20 minutes, a flying saucer was observed descending from the sky and landing in a schoolyard. Many years later, in Zimbabwe, Africa, another similar-looking UFO would also land near a schoolyard in front of 60+ schoolchildren. In that case, actual entities came out of the craft and interacted with the witnesses. Why are these mass UFO sightings not better known? Maybe it's because the Men in Black were on the case. By 2018, new details about the Westall UFO sighting, including possible involvement of the MIB, were revealed. Initially, it was just the school's headmaster who was trying to quiet the affair. However, several witnesses ended up claiming that "sharply dressed men in black suits visited them and warned them from speaking about the incident."

3. The Spaceman and the Men in Black

Jim Templeton thought he was taking a simple picture of his daughter one afternoon in 1964. However, when he reviewed the photo later, he noticed a mystery figure in the background.... some say an astronaut, dubbed the "Solway Firth Spaceman." For years, the photo went unexplained, until more recently, when it was suggested the photo was showing the photographer's wife, standing with her back facing toward the camera. Hoax, misidentification, or real photo, it's the Men in Black's interest in it that keeps it in the "unsettling" category. Two men who claimed to work for the government visited Templeton at the time. They went by the code names of #9 and #10 and asked Templeton to take them to the site where the photo was taken. When Miller told #9 and #10 that he had never seen the figure with his naked eye, the "government agents" became angry and swiftly abandoned the site. Considering the Men in Black's fingerprints on this case, it's a case that will probably always remain open.

2. 2016, the Year of the Men in Black

In 2016, there were a string of Men in Black sightings reported in Iowa, Texas (in Houston and Mcallen), Florida, and Tennessee. In Iowa, creepy men in trench coats were reported lingering around the roadways in the middle of the night and appearing in front of vehicles! In Houston, Men in Black reportedly visited a possible UFO crash. And in Florida, a UFO witness shared with MUFON their belief that they were had been visited by the MIB on two separate occasions. Many scary stories about UFOs and aliens, and even the Men in Black, go back to the 60s or even earlier. But these cases are real recent and so, real frightening!

1. Best Left In the Dark

On a soon-to-be eerie winter night in 1961, Paul Miller and his friends are returning home from a hunting trip. After seeing a strange luminous tower hovering in the sky, Miller panics, draws his gun, and fires! That's when two human-like entities emerge from the craft. Miller is able to wound one of the humanoids before fleeing the scene in his car. But that's not the end of the encounter... or is it? Miller and his friends all experience "missing time" during their escape, unable to account for at least three hours. When Miller returns to his job the next day, which happens to be in the Air Force, three classic "Men in Black" figures approach him and tell him that they have his files. They also warn Miller that they knew about the "incident" and that it is "best left in the dark." Although Miller rarely speaks about the incident to the public, he was once quoted as saying this about the mysterious men: "They seemed to know everything about me; where I worked, my name, everything else."
