The "information control" of the European Union

After Controlling the Narrative: The EU’s attack on online speech (May 2024), Dr Norman Lewis publishes Manufacturing misinformation: the EU-funded propaganda war against free speech , a new report for the Mathias Corvinus Collegium.

In this second study, he shows that the EU has spent 648,890,016 euros on creating a newspeak by financing 349 university or associative projects. The EU has founded a "Narratives Observatory combatting Disinformation in Europe Systemically" (NODES). This organization monitors, with considerable means of artificial intelligence, exchanges on social networks. It has determined two target speeches: the Covid-19 pandemic and climate change. "The problem is not what people say, but why they say it." NODES publishes lexicons of words or expressions to be used to shape collective thinking. Its recommendations are binding, for example, on Agence France Presse (AFP).

The European Commission has devised a series of projects with attractive names to conceal its "information control" activities, which the author analyzes one by one.
