Attacks on Iran’s power plants will cut electricity to US allies in region: IRGC Aerospace Force commander

The IRGC Aerospace Force commander, Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Mousavi, has warned that any US attack on Iranian bridges or power plants would be met with immediate retaliation, cutting off electricity to US allies across the region.
“If our bridges and power plants are violated, blackouts for the allies and hosts of the child-killers are certain,” General Mousavi wrote on X on Wednesday.
The warning came after US President Donald Trump threatened on his Truth Social platform to “bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT” any time Iran targets a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that the attack would include facilities “located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran."
'Don't use alternative routes in Strait of Hormuz'
The IRGC Navy separately warned shipping companies against using alternative routes in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most vital energy chokepoints.

The United States has been steering ships to use routes in the southern Strait of Hormuz, in breach of a memorandum of understanding Washington signed with Tehran last month. The tentative deal recognizes Iran as the party responsible for arranging the safe passage of vessels through the strategic waterway.
In a post on X, IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi also put shipping operators on notice.
“To shipping companies: The mined route south of the Strait of Hormuz is a path to the destruction of your capital. Do not be fooled by child-killing America,” he wrote.
Iran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz since the United States renewed its aggression on Iran early this month.
A senior military source told Tasnim News Agency that Iran will not hesitate to strike regional infrastructure in response to any US attack on Iranian power plants or bridges.

“If the Americans target a bridge or power plant in Iran, Iran will in turn strike infrastructure and bridges in the region, including energy facilities in which America has interests,” the source said.
Tensions have flared up as the illegal US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, which began on February 28, enters its fifth month.
The United States has launched 11 consecutive nights of strikes against Iran, mainly along the country’s southern coastline and near the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has responded with daily missile and drone operations targeting US bases and assets across the Persian Gulf region, as well as effectively closing the Strait of Hormuz.
