Video: Odd 'crop doodle' found in Argentine field
In a puzzling story out of Argentina, an inexplicable series of sizeable lines forming a proverbial 'crop doodle' was recently found in a wheat field. According to a local media report, the curious case came to light last week when farmer Raúl Zamer became aware of the weird scribbles on the property he rents in Avellaneda. After receiving a video of the peculiar lines from the landowner, he initially suspected that someone on a motorcycle had simply cruised around the field. However, that rather reasonable explanation was quickly discarded when he visited the scene and noticed a number of odd details suggesting something truly unusual had happened at the location.

Zamer specifically noted that the affected wheat had been "completely shelled" in a way that would not occur if someone or something had just pressed down upon it. The farmer also argued that the size and precise nature of the doodle make the motorcycle theory hard to fathom. "It is impossible to run over a stubble of wheat and do something with that perfection," Zamer declared to another Argentine media outlet, citing experts he had consulted about that scenario. The bewildered farmer also noted that there were no signs of any human or animal activity at the location that could account for how the strange crop scribbles could have been created.
Regarding any possible meaning or message that might be found in the perceived drawing, Zamer noted that "some say that it is a letter R, by Raúl, and that below there is like a boy or a circle. Others talk about rare phenomena or waves. I honestly don't know what to think. I just know that it's something very precise, impossible to do with a motorcycle or a dragged iron." Despite being genuinely perplexed by the incident, Zamer had a sanguine perspective on the crop doodle that appeared in his field. "I'm not afraid. I am a believer. If it's something that comes from above, make it a good thing," he mused, "hopefully it will be a sign of a good harvest."
