Mexico: Alleged UFO Over Villa de Cloete

Sabinas, Hidalgo (10.09.20) - A UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) startled residents of Villa del Cloete this Thursday. They did their best to capture the moment it plummeted from the sky on their cellphones.

A reddish light descended from the sky around 19:40 hours, leaving a wake of smoke, according to residents of Villa de Agujita, who were also treated to the sight.

Videos and photographs circulated on Facebook, with citizens saying it was gunpowder. After a survey of the area, local authorities found nothing.

José Pichardo González, Civil Protection Coordinator, noted that the report was received and the area was surveyed, but nothing was found.

The situation even brought up discussions and controversies on social media, with some citizens noting that it could have been a flare or even space junk.

Others stated that in the year 2020 nothing that goes on in the world holds any wonder for them. The COVID-19 pandemic, meteor skyfalls in other parts of the country, and natural events that have never been seen before.
